South Caribbean Service
The South Caribbean Service is the backbone of ECL. Every fortnight, our multipurpose vessels depart from Europe to the Caribbean and South America. This liner service offers reliable transport for breakbulk, project cargo, vehicles and dry bulk.
Route and transit times
Our vessels depart from Antwerp, Hull and Bilbao. Destinations include Georgetown (Guyana), Paramaribo (Suriname), Point Lisas (Trinidad) and Matanzas (Venezuela). Transit time is 18 to 20 days. On request, we also call at Bridgetown, Castries, Cayenne, Kingstown, Kingston and other Caribbean ports.

The ECL Reefer Service offers the fastest transit times to Suriname and Guyana. Every week, a vessel departs from Vlissingen carrying general cargo, containers, chilled and frozen cargo. Ideal for businesses that depend on rapid delivery.
Route en transit times
The Reefer Service sails directly from Vlissingen and Dover to Paramaribo and Georgetown. Transit time to Suriname: just 14 days. Transit time to Guyana: 16 days. These are the fastest connections from the Netherlands to these destinations.
Fastest transit times
ECL offers the fastest connection between the Netherlands and Suriname. Where other liner services take weeks longer, our Reefer Service delivers within 14 days. For importers and exporters, this means lower inventory costs and fresher products.
