Europe Caribbean Line

ECL offers a unique liner service between Europe, the southern Caribbean and the north coast of South America. The liner service is suitable for the transportation of project cargo, break bulk, dry bulk, and vehicles in all shapes and sizes.

To this aim, the monthly South Caribbean Service with our multi-purpose vessels sails from Antwerp, Ipswich, and Gijon to Georgetown and Paramaribo, Point Lisas, and Matanzas. Every two weeks, we offer sailings from Vlissingen to Georgetown and Paramaribo with our Reefer Service. This service yields the fastest transit times. Efficient, reliable, and predictable.

ECL was founded in 1981 in Willemstad, Curacao.

The Caribbean liner service arose from a partnership between Vertraco Shipping B.V. and Vertom Shipping & Trading B.V. Our years of experience result in specialised knowledge of varying types of cargo. Feel free to ask our advice.

Extra ports

During the monthly transportation of cargo between the Caribbean and Europe, we call at fixed ports. If there is sufficient cargo, we also stop at surrounding ports in the region, like Saint George’s in Grenada, Bridgetown in Barbados, Kingstown in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Castries in St. Lucia, Degrad des Cannes (Cayenne) in French Guyana, Saint John’s in Antigua, Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe, Rousseau in Dominica, and Fort de France in Martinique. Extra ports in Western Europe can also be added.
